WELCOME TO MY WORLD
A little glimpse into my daily life
“There’s no place like home for the holidays!”
We are stepping into the most festive season of the year, and I am loving it. I am SO excited for Christmas this year that my man and I have already decorated our home for Christmas. The Christmas three is up, and all the ferry lights are hanging all round the apartment. It’s the ultimate Hygge time, and I am enjoying it to the fullest.
My parents were just here visiting us for four days, which was amazing! I loved showing them our new home and taking them round to all my go-to places here in West London. Earlier this week we threw our moving in party where Fergus family met my family for the first time. I don’t know why but I’ve been so nervous for them to meet each other. I didn’t doubt for one second that they would like each other – I knew they would, and luckily they did. Haha! It was a fantastic evening where we had them all invited over for tapas and champagne, and then we all went out for dinner together at a gorgeous restaurant in Fulham that Fergus and I love.
The day couldn’t have gone any better, everyone was laughing and smiling all night which meant the whole world for Fergus and I! I feel so grateful for our families to come all this way to see us and to meet. My parents had to fly from Denmark, his parents had to take a long train journey from Durham, his grandparents came all the way from Devon and his sister flew in from Spain – so one week before the moving in party I have been stressing a bit to make sure the flat looked as good as possible. I just wanted the evening to be magical, and for everyone to have the best time possible, and of course show them the home we love so very much.
It’s an amazing feeling to be so happy in my relationship. I have never felt this way before.. It all feels 100% right, and I don’t even need to fight for it to work – it just works. Every day I feel like the luckiest and happiest girl in the world to be his woman. I am so in love, and every day I thank the higher power for making me join his bag drop queue that morning in Heathrow Airport..
Today’s blogpost is all about festive decorations for your home. I love decorating my home every season of the year, but Autumn and Christmas are the best for interiors! You get to go a bit more crazy – I have added countless of candles, cosy blankets and ferry lights.
