    Noget jeg hader mere end noget andet er når jeg ikke har styr på tingene. Det gør mig, stresset, træt og i de perioder føler jeg, at jeg intet har under kontrol. At være organiseret kan være svært – specielt for en meget uorganiseret person som jeg!
    Jeg har kæmpet i flere år om at blive bedre til at få orden i tingene. Alt fra at huske kvitteringerne til min revisor, huske aftaler, møder, rejser – yep jeg kan nemt glemme alt! Derfor specielt nu hvor jeg er selvstændig er det et absolut must, at jeg tager mig sammen. Bliver lidt voksen og hiver op i mig selv.
    Jeg har fundet nye metoder der gør, at jeg er blevet bedre til at huske for i sidste ende er det mig selv det kommer til at gå ud over, og i værste tilfælde venner og familie.

    Something I hate more than anything is when I don’t have anything under control. It makes me stressed, tired and in these periods I feel like my life is out of hand. To stay organized can be really hard – especially for a very unorganized person like me!
    I have for many years tried to get better. I forget everthing like appointments, receipts for my accountant, meetings, travels – yes I know.. I can forget anything! Now when I am freelance I can not highlight enough how important it is for me to grow up and pull myself together. I have finally found new ways to say organized, which means I am now better at remembering – if I don’t do it, I only have myself to blame.

    Jeg skriver nu dagligt huskelister og daglige to-do lister. En ting der specielt har hjulpet er min daglige “top 3” liste, som er 3 vigtige punkter som jeg skal have lavet før jeg kan accepter at “slukke” for mit arbejde. En anden ting jeg også passer på med, er at skrive alt for lange huske lister for hver dag. De 20 punkter kan pludseligt virke uoverskuelige, så gør dig selv den tjeneste at være realistisk med dine daglige punkter. Det skulle gerne være en hjælp, og ikke en extra stressfactor.

    Små postits rundt omkring i mit hjem har også haft utrolig stor nytte for mig. Ingen jeg går i seng skriver jeg lige nogle punkter ned jeg skal huske. Hvis jeg har læst en email jeg ikke har fået svaret tilbage på, så sætter jeg en stor postit på min computer, sådan så jeg ikke glemmer at få svaret tilbage.

    Jeg har igennem årene købt utallige kalendere, men de er altid kun blevet brugt flittigt i en uges tid, og så har de lagt og samlet støv resten af tiden. Nu tvinger jeg mig dagligt hver morgen til at tjekke min kalender, og her i skriver jeg alt og ingenting i. Alt fra kaffe aftaler med veninderne, forretnings rejser, møder, ting jeg skal huske at handle ind. Alle de ting der normal flyver rundt og fylder oveni mit hovedet.

    I am now writing daily to-do lists. One thing that especially helped me is my daily “top three” list, which are three important points which I must do and finish before I can allow myself to finish my work for the day. Another thing I also bare in mind is to write my to-do lists carefully, so I do not write them too long. The 20 points can suddenly seem overwhelming, do yourself a favor and be realistic with your daily points. This should be a help, not an extra stress factor.

    Small post-its around my home have also had tremendous benefits for me. Now before I go to bed I write just a few points down which I need to remember to do the next day. If I read an email in the evening then I write on a big post-it that I need to answer tomorrow and stick it on top of my computer. In that way I make sure I do not forget to respond.

    I have over the years acquired countless calendars, but all of them I somehow only  extensively use for a small week’s time, and then they are just laying there collection dust. Now I force myself every morning to check my calendar, and here I write everything and nothing. Everything from coffee dates with friends, business travel, meetings, things I need to remember to buy. All the things that normal are flying around and fills the top of my head.

    Som I også kan se på billederne her bruger jeg mine små farverige postits flittigt i min kalender. Når jeg har et vigtigt event, møde eller lignende indsætter jeg en sød farverig postit, som hjælper mig med at huske, at jeg har en vigtig aftale.

    As you can see on the pictures I use my small colorful post-its effectively in my calendar. When I have an important event, meeting or similar I insert a cute colorful postit, which helps me to remember that I have something important i need to remember.

    Det handler om at finde den metode der virker bedt for en selv, og ikke giv op selvom der er dage du glemmer det. For mig har det taget mange år om endelig at finde en rutine, og jeg har dage hvor jeg stadig glemmer at kigge i min kalender osv. men så er det tingene igen løber over styr, og så ved jeg det er tid til at finde mine to-do lister, postits og kalender frem igen!

    It is all about finding the method that works for you, and not to give up even if there are days you forget it. For me it has taken many years to finally find a routine and I have days where I still forget to look at my calendar and so on. Then when things start to run out of control, then I know it’s time to find my to-do lists, postits and calendar  again!

    Hello! First of all, i love your blog. I just started to read but i already love to read your blog post! I’m looking for a new agenda for this yeat but i can’t find any beautiful, handy and organized one. Do you have any tips? I hope you can help me! X

    Hello! Do u have any tips on how to keep your wardrobe organised? Like do you hang up tshirts and tops? What’s the way you store your clothes? I’m a nightmare trying to keep on top of my wardrobe and losing track of what I have and not having much space! HELP! 🙂 x
