God eftermiddag bloggen! Sikke hurtigt tiden dog går. Denne weekend – eller faktisk hele sidste uge er fløjet afsted med lynets hastighed. I dag er det allerede tirsdag hvilket betyder, at jeg om et par timer sidder på et fly på vej til Frankrig med Amber. Vi skal til Meribel, hvilket jeg ser enormt meget frem til. Jeg glæder mig til at komme ned i kulden med sne og masser af vinter hygge. Er så spændt, jeg næsten ikke ved hvad jeg skal gøre af mig selv.

Når jeg nu snakker om vinter og hygge så tænkte jeg, at jeg i dagens indlæg vil tippe jer om 10 sjove og spændende ting i kan udforske omkring South Kensington. Mine London tips er altid utrolig efterspurgte, og jeg ved mange af jer skal til London over julen for at shoppe, tage i Winter Wonderland mm, så tænkte mine 10 tips måske kunne hjælpe jer lidt på vejen og give jer nogle gode ideer til hvad I kan lave når i er I London.

South Kensington er et fantastisk og livligt område og klart et besøg være hvis du kommer til London over julen. Jeg elsker South Kensington, det er et fantastisk område i London, som helt klart er værd at udforske. Det er hjertet til mange af London’s beste museums, to Royale parker og mange skønne butikker. Her finder i Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science Museum og det meget smukke Natural History Museum, som i ser i baggrunden af billederne i dette indlæg. Hvis i søger god shopping er High Street Kensington stedet.

Good afternoon angels! Gosh it’s scare how fast the time goes by. This weekend – I mean.. Where did it go? The whole last week have passed with a single blink. Today it’s already Tuesday which means that in a couple of hours I’ll be sat on a plane on my way to France with Amber. We are going to Meribel, which I am really looking forward to. I am looking forward to being back in the cold with snow and lots of winter cosiness. I honestly can not express how excited I am. I almost cant sit still just thinking about it.

Now when I am talking about winter and good times I thought that in today’s post I will tip you angels about 10 fun and exciting things to explore round South Kensington area. My London tips are always incredibly popular and I know many of you are going to London over Christmas to do Christmas shopping, go to Winter Wonderland etc., so I thought my 10 tips might help you a bit with getting new ideas for what you can do when you visit London.

South Kensington is a fantastic and lively area and is must visit if you come to London over Christmas. I love South Kensington, it’s full of life and lots os thing to do so is definitely worth exploring. It is the heart of many of London’s best museums, two royal parks and many beautiful shops. Here you will find the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Science Museum and the very beautiful Natural History Museum, which you can see in the background of the pictures in this post. If you are looking for good shopping, High Street Kensington is the place to be.

Tips til hvad du kan lave i South Kensington området her til Jul   //   Tips on what you can do in South Kensington ares over Christmas

1. Besøge Hyde Park. Hyde Park er og bliver Londons mest populære park, hvilket der bestemt ikke er noget at sige til. Jeg tager til Hyde Park flere gange i ugen. Det er min form for meditation, det er her jeg kommer tæt på naturen og kan slå tankerne fra og gå en hyggelig tur med en god podcast i ørene. 

2. Gå en hyggelig tur i Kensington Gardens. Kensington Gardens er en af London’s 8 Royale Parker og i alt dækker de over 265  tønder land.

3. Besøg National History Museum. Det er gratis og museet tilbyder et bredt program af midlertidige udstillinger og arrangementer hele året rundt, hvilket inspirerer en kærlighed til den naturlige verden.

4. Victoria and Albert museum også kaldt V&A er også gratis og udstiller det smukkeste kunst. Jeg kom her meget specielt da jeg studerede. Dette museum giver dig et godt indblik  i kunstens historie og de udstiller også highlights fra medieval Renaissance mm.

6. Nyd en traditionel og hyggelig english afternoon tea. Her er nogle gode og populære steder omkring South Kensington: Number Sixteen (Det er et smukt of elegant hotel I South Kensington som også har en hyggelig privat gård hvor de servere.) The Milestone Hotel (The Milestone Hotel skulle være det helt rigtige sted for afternoon tea. Her finder du behagelige sofaer og bløde armstole som du kan synke ned i mens du slapper af og får dig en god pause fra storbyens larm. Her skulle være meget smukt og stilen være inspireret af engelsk countryside, som helt gør det svært at tro, at man befinder sig midt inde i byen.) The Drawing room (super hyggeligt indretning.) Aubaine (Kan klart anbefales, da jeg elsker deres smukke indretning med blomster hængende ned for loftet. High Street Kensington ligger ikke langt herfra, og pludselig er du midt i alt shopping og her er nemt at komme til og fra. Specielt i weekenden er det bedst at huske at bestille bord for at undgå at blive skuffet.

7. Hver jul kan du skøjte ved National History museum – det kan varmt anbefales. Her er også hyggelige boder hvor du kan købe popcorn, mulled wine mm.

8. Køb en god kaffe-to-go, sådan så du kan blive varmet godt op.  Min yndlings coffee shop er Gail’s (Jeg bestiller altid en oat-milk flat white. Så yummy!)

9. South Kensington har nogle utrolig gode restauranter, mange finder du omkring South Kensington Stationen. Her ligger også en Hummingbird, hvis du trænger til lidt sødt.

10. Hver søndag finder du South Kensington Farmers’ Markets, som du kan finde på Bute Street.

1. Visit Hyde Park. Hyde Park is London’s most popular park. I go walk here several times a week. It’s my kind of meditation, a way I get a break from the big city. I get to be close to nature and I can turn my mind off while I walk with a good podcast in my ears.

2. Go for a walk in beautiful Kensington Gardens. Kensington Gardens is one of London’s 8 royal parks and it cover over 265 acres of land.

3. Visit the National History Museum. It is free and the museum offers a wide installations of temporary exhibitions and events all year round.

4. The Victoria and Albert museum also called V&A is also free and exhibits the most beautiful art. I came here very often when I studied. This museum gives you a good insight into the history of art and they also exhibit highlights from medieval Renaissance etc.

6. Enjoy a traditional and enjoyable English afternoon tea. Here are some good and popular places round South Kensington: Number Sixteen (It’s a beautifully elegant hotel in South Kensington, which also has a beautiful private garden where they serve.) Milestone Hotel (The Milestone Hotel should be the right place for afternoon tea. Here you will find comfortable sofas and soft armchairs that you can relax in while you have a break from the big city. It should be super gorgeous here and the style be inspired by English countryside, which when you stil in here makes it hard to believe you are in London.) The drawing room (super cozy decor.) Aubaine (I can highly recommended it. I love their beautiful decor with flowers hanging down to the ceiling. High Street Kensington is not far from here and suddenly you are in the middle of all the busy shopping streets. It’s a popular place, so make sure to book a table – especially if you want to go here during the weekend.)


7. Every Christmas you can ice s
kate at the National History Museum. Here they also have a few stalls where you can buy popcorn, mulled wine, etc.

8. Buy a good coffee-to-go so you can warm up. My favorite coffee shop is Gail’s (I always order an oat milk flat white. So yummy!)

9. South Kensington has some great good restaurants, many of them you will find just round South Kensington Station. Here is also a Hummingbird, if you crave something sweet.

10. Every Sunday you will find South Kensington Farmers Markets, which you can find on Bute Street.
