A little glimpse into my daily life

Farm to Barn Haleiwa, Oahu North Shore

“All organic locally sourced food – my favourite on the North Shore”

After spending almost 4 week on the North Shore, my parter Fergus and I must admit we got to try most of the restaurants, cafés and food trucks worth trying. Especially Farm to Barn got a special place in my heart. From the first moment we passed by the restaurant when we arrived to the North Shore I told my man “We GOT to try this place, it looks so adorable!”. AND it really is everything you expect/wish it to be
when you look at the charming Farm to Barn from the outside.

Most of the restaurants on the North Shore it located just by the road, where Farm to Barn is push back a bit which I like. From their pretty terrace you can pick a spot in the shadow under their matching red & white umbrellas while you can look over the mountains and the open grass area. Loved the view and it’s especially a perfect place to go if you are a family with children. Here you can sit on the benches in the garden, picnic on the grass and enjoy the tasty local farmed food whilst running round, playing football or wallyball with your kids. They also have some fun toys and outdoor games.

Every time I go out for food I always think carefully about what place I choose. If I can pick to support the independent local places instead of bigger chains – then that’s always my number one choice. By visiting Farm to Barn you also support what they stand for by growing and producing their own locally grown organic food.

I love staying healthy and fit (and when I travel, I try my best to stay extra on top of what I eat/drink etc. since it’s harder for me to keep fit and stay on top of my workout routine). For staying healthy Farm to Barn is also a great fit. Here they also have vegan, pescatarian and vegetarian choices as well and freshly made cold pressed juices, buddah bowls, acai and yummy cookies and banana bread.

One thing that makes Farm to Barn even more special is that they even sell some of their locally made products such as honey, t-shirts, paper bags, locally grown veggies, fruits and other craft items.

If you visit Oahu North Shore, then make sure you visit this unique local spot. The also do super tasty coffee and I have heard that they do the BEST breakfast burrito’s and scrip tacos on the North Shore. And the burritos are big and enough for 2 people to healthily share. Yummy!!

Our good friend Amelia we met doing our stay, so kindly took us here on our last day because one of her close friends works there. Gosh we both regret not going here before – This would have been my go to office space, instead of jumping round different coffee shops.

Where ever Fergus and I go we  also really enjoy talking to the owners and Farm to Barn is the cutest little family driven place. By getting the meet the family and see when watering the veggies behind the restaurant makes it feel so authentic and you feel glad you decided to support their charming family business.

SO guys – if you love healthy local and organic food, this this place is for you! I loved it, and this place, Haleiwa Bowls and Sunrise Shack would be my top priorities when I get back to the North Shore. I have also read lots of reviews and heard from friends and locals that they do the best breakfast burritos in Haleiwa. You will not regret visiting this beautiful little spot <3 Enjoy guys

    Biggest hug
    Your Isabella xx
